Robin has 26 years of experience as a Non-Profit Leader and Major Gifts Professional who loves making “shidduchs” between philanthropists and virtuous mission driven organizations. She, her husband, Jeff, and their puppies, Zoe and Sassi, recently relocated to Philadelphia from Washington, DC where she serves as Senior Major Gifts Officer on the Development and Alumni Relations Team at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design. Her responsibilities include developing a strategic fundraising program for the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, along with other centers of excellence.
Most recently Robin served as Executive Director of American Jewish Committee’s (AJC) Project Interchange and, prior to that, held key positions at local Jewish Federations and the Jewish Agency for Israel. Throughout her career, she has worked with individual funders and foundations to engage in high impact philanthropy to transform the lives of vulnerable populations on local, national and international levels. Robin has a deep appreciation and excitement for the field of development and has a track record in relationship building and growing programs from the ground up. Robin’s vivacious personality, combined with her compassion and integrity, allow her to connect the right people with each other, so organizations thrive and donors feel invested.
Robin has extensive experience in building strong non-profit boards and empowering the members to serve as ambassadors and fundraisers for the causes they are most passionate about. Robin is an inspiring team leader, nourishing organizational cultures through collaboration and cohesion, and has successfully mentored many next generation Jewish communal professionals throughout her career. She boosts morale, motivation, and productivity through tapping into her core Gallup Strengths of “Woo”, “Empathy”, “Communicator”, “Belief” and “Includer”.
Having grown up sailing, her love for the water led her to recently discover dragon boating. She is a proud member of the Philadelphia River Goddesses, a competitive sports organization that is committed to empowering professional women to become stronger through paddling and encouraging personal growth. The team experience and charitable mission are geared towards building inner strength, creating team camaraderie, and helping to empower future generations of women.
