Susan is an unconventional NPO leader who has mastered the art of excavating people’s hidden passions. Susan started off as a young hairdresser, but her ability to turn dreams into reality and strangers into friends brought her to the fundraising sector. Susan believes in thinking bold and finds unexpected solutions to fundraising challenges.

Susan served as CDO at Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, raising 13M from 6.2K donors. As CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and Director of External Relationships at Momentum, Susan built philanthropy centers from scratch, raised millions of dollars, and led city-wide initiatives to ensure organizational compliance.

When she launched her own consulting agency, Susan was excited to help executives and boards create a new relationship-based approach to fundraising. To her clients, Susan is an educator, partner, coach, and strategist. Executives rave about the “pixie dust” that Susan leaves in her wake.

Although it’s been many years, millions of dollars, and several executive leadership roles since her hairdressing days, Susan says it is still the magic of relationships that unlock passion and action. When she’s not changing the world with her fresh and bold approach, Susan enjoys swimming, walking with girlfriends and hanging out with her grandson.  Susan has also just started making mixed media mosaics and commissioning work from  people who want to do something lovely with their parents belongings.  Her go to food--Sushi, always!

Susan lives in Denver, Colorado (a great place to live, work and be Jewish) with her husband,  two sons, daughters in love, grandson Negev and over 60 houseplants.
