Matt Walzer

Matt has been a successful leader in the nonprofit sector since 2012 when he transitioned after spending over seven years working in corporate sales. Matt has a deep background in fundraising in the Jewish community. His experiences range from serving as the Development Director at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle to serving as the first Director of Charitable Giving at Beth El Synagogue, a large congregation in Minnesota where he is currently the Managing Director.

In addition to his professional nonprofit experiences, Matt has extensive knowledge of working with and leading boards of directors. He proudly serves on the board for many organizations close to his heart, including MoveFWD and Talmud Torah of Minneapolis. Matt is also an active volunteer with Shout Out Loud MN, which is an annual suicide awareness charity event.

Matt graduated from Millikin University with a Bachelor’s degree in business management and a concentration in entrepreneurship. He and his wife Kim are proud to raise their daughters, Madeline and Charlotte, in the Jewish community and enjoy all it brings. In his free time, Matt enjoys avoiding winter and relating every life experience back to an episode of The Office.
